Fundi Bots promotes improved, practical science education in African schools and communities through the provision of hands-on skills and project-based training, with a strong focus on rural and underprivileged regions and a push for equitable inclusion for girls.
Our solution of practical, hands-on training for students in everything from building robots to coding and project-based learning provides a well-rounded and engaging methodology to increase students’ performance in classrooms and provide career training and technical skills through custom STEM programs and curriculum.
The Teaching Associate at Fundi Bots performs the role of trainer in integrated schools and during outreaches. This role will involve travel within the region to the schools where training happens. The ideal candidate should be personable and good with children, diligent, self-driven and process oriented.
Fundi Bots works with a network of hundreds of schools within Uganda (Western, Central, Eastern and Northern regions). We are seeking Fundi Girls Teaching Associates for multiple regions. While the primary location will be the region assigned, the applicant must be willing to travel around Uganda as the need arises. All applicants should reside in the region in which they are applying to work.
The role is a full-time position. Our workdays are Monday to Saturday. When schools are open, Saturdays are often full or partial working days at Fundi Bots with multiple training happening in schools and at the Fundi Spaces.
